🌟 Red Light Therapy (RLT) at Healing Connections

At Healing Connections, we recognize that trauma is not only held in the mind, but also deeply within the body. Red Light Therapy (RLT) is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that supports healing on a cellular level while calming the nervous system. It offers a restorative way to help the body release stress, reduce pain, and create a stronger foundation for recovery.

RLT uses safe, low-level red and near-infrared light that penetrates into the body’s tissues, stimulating circulation and cellular repair. This process can reduce inflammation, ease muscle tension, and support overall resilience. Many individuals find that it helps with chronic pain, headaches, and the physical aftereffects of trauma. It can also improve sleep, lift mood, and enhance the body’s natural ability to heal from the inside out.

Sessions are designed to be calming and restorative. You will be seated or lying down comfortably while light panels gently deliver targeted wavelengths. There is no pain or invasive procedure — only soothing warmth and the opportunity for your body to reset and recharge.

We offer Red Light Therapy as a complementary support alongside trauma-focused psychotherapy. While it is not a replacement for therapy, it can be a powerful ally in the healing journey, helping to regulate the nervous system and reduce the physical burden of stress and trauma.

✨ Red Light Therapy at Healing Connections is here to support your whole-person wellness — mind, body, and nervous system.

It is understood in many cultures that an unseen energy flows through all living things and is directly connected to the quality of life we experience. Recent scientific experiments has verified this life force energy and medical doctors are now considering the role is plays in the immune system and healing process.

Reiki is a technique of healing, stress reducing and relaxation that taps into this “life force” energy. The treatment feels like a warm, glowing radiance flowing through and surrounding you. Reiki treats the whole person, including body, emotion, mind and spirit. This is a simple, natural and safe treatment with healing and self-improvement outcomes. Reiki has shown great results with helping anxiety, depression, headaches, insomnia and chronic pain.

A Reiki treatment is done while the client is fully clothed laying down or seated. The practitioner places their hands on or near the clients body allowing the energy to flow from the practitioners hands to the clients body in a series of hand positions.

I believe healing happens when we honour the full spectrum of our being—emotional, spiritual, and physical. My understanding of this holistic relationship was profoundly shaped by a personal health crisis, which led me to seek psychotherapy to address the emotional causes of my illness. That transformative experience inspired my path toward becoming a psychotherapist—so I could support others navigating similar challenges. I pursued studies in Existential-Integrative Psychotherapy and obtained a graduate certificate in psychotherapy from the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling Education (TCPCE). I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Art History from the University of Toronto.

I am currently a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their concerns and be their authentic selves. I draw from a range of modalities—including CBT, parts work, art therapy, client-centered, psychodynamic, attachment-based, somatic, and transpersonal approaches—tailored to meet each individual’s needs. My work is also informed by years of experience in meditation, mindfulness, and energy medicine. I am dedicated to helping my clients heal trauma, release shame, and uncover the emotional causes of illness, so they can reclaim their self-worth, speak with confidence, strengthen their relationships, and foster spiritual development. I’m currently accepting new clients for virtual sessions. Book your free 15-minute consultation today and begin your healing journey.
